Opis kursa:

Na ovom predmetu studenti će steći osnovna znanja o opštim i posebnim temama u vezi ključnih koncepata, značenja i pojmova koji se odnose na kulturnu baštinu (kulturno nasljeđe). Taođe, učiće o osnovnim vrstama nasljeđa, osobenostima prirodnog i kulturnog nasljeđa, ali i o tome šta je materijalna, šta nematerijalna, šta pokretna, a šta nepokretna baština. Studenti će se upoznati i s različitim naukama i disciplinama koje proučavaju kulturu, nasljeđe i prošlost u akademskom kontekstu. Posebna pažnja biće usmjerena na kulturna dobra i proučavanje sistema njihove zaštite. Glavni cilj ovog predmeta jeste da se kod studenata osvijesti da je baština (nasljeđe) društveni i kulturni konstrukt određen datim kontekstom koji je stvara/(de)konstruiše, da je baština sveprisutna, ali ne i svevremena kategorija, da nastaje i nestaje (ne samo u materijalnom smislu, već i u idejnom/konceptualnom), kao i da je sastavni i neodvojivi dio života ljudi.

Po završetku ovog predmeta, student će bitu u osposobljen da:

  - Pokaže razumijevanje fenomena da nešto postaje baština i da ponude primjere za to;

  - Objasni i opiše različite vrste prirodnog i kulturnog nasljeđa;

  - Jasno uviđa razlike i osobenosti prirodnog i kulturnog, materijalnog i nematerijalnog, pokretnog i nepokretnog nasljeđa;

  - Respoznaje i diskutuje o različitim naukama/disciplinama o kulturi, nasljeđu i prošlosti, kao i da upoređuje njihove metodologije;

  - Kritički analizira i govori o teorijskim i praktičnim konceptima zaštite nasljeđa.

Course description:

In this course students will gain basic knowledge of general and specific topics about the main concepts, meanings and terms related to cultural heritage. Also, thew will learn about types of heritage, specifcs of natural and cultural heritage, but also what is material and what is intangible, movable and immovable heritage. The students will be introduced different sciences and disciplines that study culture, heritage and past in the academic context. The special focus will be put on protection of cultural goods and analysis of the system of their protection. The goal of the course is to make students aware that heritage is a social and cultural construct determined by the given context that produces/(de)constructs it, that heritage is an omnipresent, but not an all-time category, that it arises and disappears (not only in material terms, but also in ideas/concepts), as well as being an integral and inseparable part of people's lives.

Upon the completion of this course, student will be able to:

  - Demonstrate understanding of phenomenon of becoming something heritage and to provide examples for that;

  - Explain and describe different types of natural and cultural heritage;

  - Clearly recognize differences and specifics of natural and cultural, material and intangible, movable and immovable heritage;

  - Recognize and discuss different sciences/disciplines about culture, heritage and past, as well as to compare their methodologies;

  - Critically analyse and discuss theoretical and practical concepts of heritage protection.
