Four Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for the WINTOUR International Master’s Programme

A new opportunity is available for students and graduates from Montenegro interested in continuing their education in an international academic environment. WINTOUR – International Master on Wine Tourism Transitions and Innovations, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme, is offering four Erasmus Mundus scholarships reserved for candidates from Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo for the upcoming cohort.

WINTOUR is a two-year international master’s programme that combines the fields of wine tourism, marketing, wine production, and wine heritage, with a strong focus on international mobility and practical experience.

One of the key features of the WINTOUR programme is its mobility model, which allows students to gain academic and practical experience at different European universities throughout their studies. The first semester is completed at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, the second semester at Université de Bordeaux, and the third semester at the University of Porto. The final part of the programme is dedicated to professional training and the completion of a master’s thesis.

The programme covers topics related to wine tourism and marketing, wine production, and wine heritage, and also includes professional internships related to wine tourism and wine production.

A particularly valuable opportunity for the upcoming cohort is that four Erasmus Mundus scholarships are reserved for candidates from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Montenegro. According to information provided by the WINTOUR programme, the total value of the scholarship support amounts to almost €50,000 per student.

Selected scholarship recipients receive €1,400 net per month for 23 months and are also exempt from paying the programme participation fee, which amounts to €8,000 per year.

The WINTOUR programme has so far been implemented through 11 cohorts, with 271 students from 60 countries having participated. The programme network includes 36 partner organisations from 12 countries, while more than 100 companies from 24 countries have provided opportunities for professional internships.

WINTOUR also reports a high level of graduate employability. According to programme data, 70% of graduates find employment within six months, while 90% achieve a higher level of professional responsibility after completing the master’s programme.

To introduce interested students and graduates to the programme and available funding opportunities, the WINTOUR team will organise an online information session on 15 October 2026 at 16:00 CET.

During the session, participants will learn more about the WINTOUR programme, the eligibility criteria for Erasmus Mundus scholarships, and other important information for prospective applicants. An interactive Q&A session will also allow participants to ask questions directly to representatives of the programme.
