Opis predmeta:

Cilj izučavanja ovog predmeta pronalazi se u upoznavanju sa tekovinama istorije, teorije i kritike moderne i svaremene umjetnosti XX vijeka, od uvoda u modernizam do 90ih godina XX vijeka. Posebna pažnja se poklanja razvoju komparativnog i kritičkog mišljenja kroz upotrebu adekvatne literature kako bi se studenti osposobili i podstakli na samostalan istraživački rad. Sa studentima se vrši analiza pojedinačnih umjetničkih i stilskih tendencija kako bi u skladu sa svojim interesovanjima započeli analizu, istraživački proces na tematikama, studijama slučajeva i problemima određene tendencije koje bi bile poučne za razvoj njihovog analitičkog i kritičkog mišljenja u samostalnom radu.

Po završetku ovog kursa student će biti osposobljen da:

- Proučava povezivanje riječi, slike i teksta kao i razvojnog procesa, koncepcije i informacije o nekoj epohi, stilu ili tendenciji koja je bila značajna za istoriju moderene i savremene umjetnosti, za upostavljanje distinkcija između ta dva žanra, kao i stvaranje epistemološkog okvira za njihovo dalje naučno uodnošavanje, razvijanje i tumačenje;

- Analizira kontekst - društveno-politički, ekonomski, kulturni i naučni u kojem je određena umjetnička pojava, praksa ili specifičnost nastala, bila valorizovana ili kritički razvijena;

- Razvija razumijevanje obrađenog konteksta i njegovih pojava i doprinosa istoriji umjetnosti kako bi se pripremio i osposobio da izgradi sopstveno mišljenje i potencijalno da naučni doprinos istraživanju predmetnog sadržaja;

- Diskutuje o oblicima stvaranja u umjetnosti i istoriji moderne i savremene umjetnosti, teorijama, autorima i njihovim djelima koja su uticala na tok istorije, sinhronim i dijahronim pojavama u umjetnosti, razvoju društva u cjelini itd.

Course description:

The aim of studying this subject is to get acquainted with the achievements of history, theory and critique of modern and contemporary art of the XX century, from the introduction to modernism to the 90s of the XX century. Special attention is paid to the development of comparative and critical thinking through the use of adequate literature in order to train students and encourage them to independent research work. Within this course, students analyze individual artistic and stylistic tendencies in order to start the analysis, research process on topics, case studies and problems of a certain tendency in accordance with their interests, which would be instructive for the development of their analytical and critical thinking in own independent work.

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

- Study the connection of words, images and text as well as the development process, conception and information about an epoch, style or tendency that was important for the history of modern and contemporary art, for establishing distinctions between these two genres, as well as creating an epistemological framework for their further scientific reference, development and interpretation;

- Analyze the context - socio-political, economic, cultural and scientific in which a particular artistic phenomenon, practice or specificity arose, was valorized or critically developed;

- Develop an understanding of the processed context and its phenomena and contributions to the history of art in order to develop own opinion and potentially make a scientific contribution to the research of the subject content;

- Discuss the forms of creation in art and history of modern and contemporary art, theories, authors and their works that influenced the course of history, synchronous and diachronic phenomena in art, development of society as a whole, etc.
