Opis kursa

Ovaj kurs pruža uvod u proučavanje najznačajnijih perioda u istoriji Kine, kao I ključnih ličnosti I događaja koji su obilježili pojedine istorijske epohe. Posebna pažnja je posvećena najznačajnijim religijama u Kini poput budizma, daoizma, konfučijanizma, kao i širokog spektra popularnih lokalnih religija. U okviru kursa će se, takođe, istražiti razvoj ključnih teoloških, religioznih i filozofskih doktrina, iz istorijske perspektive. Studenti će istraživati ​​ulogu religija u politici i društvenim odnosima u Kini, evoluciju i transformaciju ključnih koncepata i analizirati uticaje Kine na Zapadnu kulturu i njene odgovore na izazove savremenog doba.

Po završetku ovog kursa studenti će biti osposobljen da:

-Identifikuje glavne periode Kineske istorije i analizira  najznačajnije istorijske događaje i ličnosti;

-Identifikuje najznačajnije religije u Kini i analizira njihove karakteristike;

-Upoređuje Kinesku religiju i kulturu sa drugim kulturama i religijama;

-Istražuje I kritički analizira razvoj ključnih teoloških, religioznih i filozofskih doktrina u Kini;

-Diskutuje  o ulozi religija u politici i društvenim odnosima u Kini;

-Raspravlja o uticaju Kine na zapadnu kulturu i njenim odgovorima na izazove savremenog doba.

Course description

This course provides an introduction to the study of the most significant periods in the history of China, as well as the key personalities and events that marked certain historical epochs. Special attention is paid to the most important religions in China, such as Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, as well as a wide range of popular local religions. The course will also explore the development of key theological, religious and philosophical doctrines, from a historical perspective. Students will explore the role of religion in politics and social relations in China, the evolution and transformation of key concepts and analyze China’s influences on Western culture and its responses to the challenges of modern times.

Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:

-Identify the main periods of Chinese history and analyze the most significant historical events and personalities;

-Identify the most important religions in China and analyzes their characteristics;

-Regulate the Chinese religion and culture with other cultures and religions;

-Research and critically analyze the development of key theological, religious and philosophical doctrines in China;

-Discuss the role of religions in politics and social relations in China;

-Discuss China's influence on Western culture and its responses to the challenges of modern times.
